From back of postcard:
“Main Street of McAllen, Texas, nick-named The City of Palms. McAllen is known throughout the nation for its warm winters and plentiful sunshine. Actual weather bureau figures prove it to be one of the coolest summer vacation areas.
“McAllen was founded in 1904 when 4000 acres were set apart from the John McAllen ranch.”

At least give credit to source. We know that some people will not honor this but it would be nice of they did.

  1. Hi,

I curate a blog at We write for our target audience of retail executives looking to buy new enterprise technology solutions. We are about to publish a post that discusses one of our colleague’s past when she shopped in McAllen, Texas, and the image on this page is an absolutely perfect compliment to her post. We are not in any way competitive with you all, and we do not in any way monetize the blog (no ads, no retargeting, etc.).
Would you be willing to allow us to use the photo, by any chance? We would of course give you full credit and link to this page. Pleas eemail me your reply if you don;t mind. Thank you!!!!
